CNY Break!

Team, no training this Wed or weekend!
Go easy on the CNY goodies.
Training will resume next Sat, 28th Feb @ Bedok Reservoir.

PLK PADDLERS (Paya Lebar Kovan CC Dragonboat Team) was inaugurated in July 2007.

The PLK PADDLERS Vision: To be a caring and cohesive team that is synonymous with excellence.

"The beauty of being in a team sport is that motivation often comes from your team-mates - this is why you may have noticed regular members pushing you on; telling you not to stop in the middle of 10km row, to lift up your punching arm higher. Because ultimately, dragonboat is a team sport, and the boat will only surge forward if everyone does their part."

Words of Wisdom from Coach:
"Can we do better? We can achieve better results if we can work on the following foundation:- SRS foundation.

S - Skills

(techniques, training methods)
R - Relationship

(fellow team mates)
S - Spirituality

(commitment, passion, vision)

For without skills - our achievement will be limited
without relationship - we will be lonely with no one to share and finally without spirituality - our team will not last.

I hope that all of us will build upon it as we continue to scale new heights in the next race."
