PLK Paddlers Welcome 2015: Admin Matters

Dear team-mates,

I hope everyone is enjoying the long break and having a great 2015 thus far!

2014 was a good year for PLK & 2015 is gonna be even better!

Our success in 2014 would not be possible without everyone’s support and hard work. Special mention to the following individuals – Brynner (captain 2012-14), Eugene, Travis, Joerg, Luke Chong, Sam Ooi, Shiek, Yang Fei, Maggie, June, Lilian, Gavin & Steven for going the extra mile for the team.

Alongside our new captains, Joerg (C) & Travis (VC), I am pleased to announce the following team-mates who have stepped up to help with various responsibilities in 2015:

Handling email enquiries from newcomers + all admin matters related to recruitment

Taking weekly attendance + ergo scores + weight & reporting stats to Coach

Disseminating whatsapp comms to PLK members

Treasurer: Luke Chong
The one & only PLK ah-long

Sponsorship: Joerg
Sourcing for potential funding opportunities & sponsorship in kind

Race Admin: Travis, Jonathan
Collating personal info from team-mates and submission of all necessary race forms

Mentors for newcomers: Yang Fei, Jun Liang, Luke Chong, Maggie/ Evelyn (for female newcomers)
Each will be a designated buddy for newcomers to help ease them into our team culture.

We look forward to seeing everyone this Sun (11 Jan) for land training @ BR. Report 9.45AM at the boathouse. We will be split into groups for fun circuit stations comprising ergo, kettle bells and weights. Please bring your shoes! There will be a short team bonding session following the workout i.e. spring-cleaning + team goal setting for 2015.
